These terms apply to the Hearlist app (the "Application") for iOS and Android, created by Pearlismylove (the "Service Provider"). By downloading or using the Application you agree to them. They are effective as of 2026-10-14.

If you downloaded the Application from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms conflict with it, Apple's agreement prevails for iOS users.

The Application

Hearlist saves articles from links you choose, extracts their text and reads them aloud with speech models that run on your device. It is offered as a freemium service: the core features are free, and Hearlist Pro adds optional features.

Your content

• Articles you save belong to their publishers and authors. The Application keeps a copy on your device for your personal, non-commercial reading and listening. You are responsible for saving and using content in line with the publishers' terms and applicable law.
• Your library, highlights and notes are stored on your device and are yours. You can export them or make a backup at any time, free on every plan.
• Article extraction is automatic and may sometimes miss text or include parts of a web page that are not the article.

Discover

Discover recommends articles published by third parties. The Service Provider does not write or endorse them and is not responsible for their content or availability.

Hearlist Pro

• Hearlist Pro is available as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the Application before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel it in your account settings.
• If a free trial is offered, you are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before it ends, the subscription starts and is charged when the trial ends.
• The lifetime purchase is a permanent licence to all of Hearlist Pro's on-device features. Future features that require servers or third-party services (for example AI summaries) may be offered as a separate subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• If a subscription ends, the Application keeps working with the free features. Your saved articles, highlights and notes are not deleted.

Acceptable use

Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the Application, or use it to infringe anyone's rights or to overload the websites you save articles from. All rights in the Application, its name and design remain with the Service Provider.

Internet and data charges

Saving links, downloading the voice models, Discover and purchases need an internet connection. Your mobile provider's charges, including roaming, may apply. Reading and listening to articles you have already saved work offline.

Updates and availability

The Service Provider may update the Application, and may change or end features that depend on its servers (such as Discover). Saving, reading and listening do not depend on the Service Provider's servers, and the articles on your device remain yours even if the Service Provider stops providing the Application. The Service Provider does not guarantee that the Application will remain compatible with every future operating system version.

Disclaimer and liability

The Application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The Service Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Application, including the accuracy of extracted text or synthesized speech. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

How the Application handles information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date; continuing to use the Application after a change means you accept the updated terms.
